Dr. Byrne is a licensed clinical psychologist. She is passionate about providing therapy to adolescents, young adults, and adults coping with generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic, depression, relationship challenges, body image concerns, and adjustment to new or difficult life circumstances. She also has significant interest and specialized training in helping individuals navigate infertility and reproductive concerns, including egg/embryo freezing and reproductive technology (e.g., IUI, IVF).
Therapy with Dr. Byrne combines traditional support with evidence-based treatment, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
Dr. Byrne earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Dr. Byrne has trained across multiple settings, including group private practice, hospitals, and community mental health clinics. Prior to opening her own private practice, Dr. Byrne completed her postdoctoral training at MindWell NYC. She completed her APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at The Village in Hartford, CT. She has also trained at NYU Langone, Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
